Okay! so, today i got an offer to buy an almost brand new 90g tank at a great price. The guy also wants to sell me a silver arowana that's about 6 inches. I've heard all sorts of different things about these fish.. so would a 90g suffice? or would it be too small? the same guy has 2 alligator gar and an ornate bichir for sale as well..

No, the aro needs about 300 gallons depending on the dimensions. Out of all those fish the ornate bichir is the only one out of those fish that would work. 70 bucks is fair depending on the size.

Silvers are the largest and fastest growing arrowanas. They could very easily be 3' in a home aquarium with proper tank size and care! I just got an asian Arowana! And the "perfect tank" would be 8feet long 3feet deep. So your 90 would work for maybe 3 months

the 90g can serve as a temporary growout tank for the silver, but yes, ultimately u'll need a lot alrger tank to house a 3 footer silver for life.. something u might want to heavily consider.. :-)
