Arowana tankmates

Hello everyone
I am having a silver arowana (13'' to 14'') in a 60''x18''x18'' tank i know its time to upgrade my tank i am already working on it these days..i am planning to add a flowerhorn about 4 to 5'' as a tankmate for my aro in the above mentioned tank..would a flowerhorn get along with silver arowana ? are they compatible tankmates ? or do i have to experiment to find out a definate answer ? Thanks in advance
 
In most cases I'd expect the flowerhorn to attack the aro. FHs are often kept alone because they can be extremely aggressive.
 
just the flowerhorn and the aro, the flowerhorn will attack and could kill the silver aro. My buddy can keep flowerhorn with his black aro but he has more fish inside the tank than just the flowerhorn and the aro.
 
The combo could work fine in the proper sized tank. In your tank best case scenerio, the FH kills the arowana and then you don't have to upgrade :thumbsup:
