Hi MFK ,

i was wondering if anyone succeeded keeping aro with jaguar cichlid. I was looking for a top dweller to mix with my male Jag 11” and my hoplias Mala 10”. I am interested for a jardini or a black aro

My 18” silver lives with an 8” female jag, 6 7” tinfoils and a couple of other bottom dwellers in a6x2x2 with no aggression issues

If there’s enough tank space available they should get along fine. However, if the tank is too small the Jag and wolf will not like other fish encroaching on their territory. IMO a 300+ gallon should be provided for long term care.

Yeah, worth noting that my arro is only in the 6x2 till he moves into the pond but that said the jag and barbs will go too.

My Jardini lives with lots of other large fish ! Buts that's my fish. They grew up together also and have lots of room to get away from each other . (Thier own space ,quite time , sleeping, yes my Jar. sleeps) and I still get some little aggression.
In a really large tank and some dithers , (silver dollars or other fish like that) . It " might" work.

Thank you. Its about 3 years .this fall it will be 4 years.
