Does anybody here have experience keeping these? I just ordered 6 of them in at the LFS I work for and they look very intriguing. Anyone know anything about their max size or behavioral tendencies? I wouldn't imagine they'd get much more than 3" or be very disagreable with other fish, but there seems to be frustratingly little information available on these!

He didn't buy them yet, Peewee. This is the research part.

Good lookin out Aaron. So they turned out to be Gnathocharax steindachneri. Still a very cool fish but it doesn't seem like many people have much info. Still thinking about getting them however... Here's a website with some pics: http://www.predatoryfishkeepers.com...-Predatory-Characin-need-ID&p=12681#post12681

Nice buy.

I saw them on a list from our South American wholesaler about a month back, and I wanted to get some but we would have had to buy like 70 of them, and they were much pricier than other tetras. They claim these fish are Gilbertolus alatus, but they are definitely not.

Do you have any pictures of your's?
