How would this work out? It sounds crazy enough that it just might work :)

I have a 200 Gallon with a 8 inch Arowana in it. I like the look of the Arowana but it is one BORING fish. I use to have two in the tank but one jumped out :(.

I was thinking the Exodons wouldn't touch the arowana due to its size.

The Aro just sits in the corner and only comes out when I feed him. My clown loaches are more fun to watch. The aro is really healthy as well. Looks wise he is awesome.. Movement wise BORING.. I want to feed him 20 times a day just to get him to move.

I think the Aro is at a size right now that he won't eat the exo's and with 15-20 Exo's swimming around the aro may not touch them. I just watched a bunch of video's with RBP and Exo's living together.

If he just sits there the Exos probably will nip at him. They are used to eating fins and scales of larger fish to survive. So I either see him getting nipped at or stressed from having to constantly swim away from them, or eating them because he can. It seems like a pretty big risk when you could get other fish like Bala Sharks or tinfoil barbs or silver dollars to add some movement to your tank without risking fish getting killed. My opinion anyways. I could be wrong and it could work great but while exos are cool looking their are plenty of other fish you could add without nearly as much worry.

Could work in a properly sized tank, if both fish are kept well fed. Unless the exodons are like many tetras and are in a trance-like state at first light. Then they will become easy pickins for the arowana.

If your arowana is just sitting in the corner, it is stressed. You need to do something different as this is not typical arowana behavior.

At this point, the Exodons will rip his fins apart - and after a while, he will eat the exodons.

I keep exodons, and they are not aggressive - they just chase a lot, and get along with bigger Cichlids and other larger fish - but they do stay small, and don't grow fast at all.

The Arowana is not stressed. I had a friend come over that has TONES of arrows in his garage and he said they sometimes are just like that. I just got unlucky. His fins and color are all amazing and he is growing like a weed and eating TONES. I wouldn't say he is stressed... Maybe Lazy... lol
