Arowana With Mbu Puffer

I want a mbu puffer and want to keep a arowana with it with some other fish. I think it was done before. Also is it illegal to bring arowanas into another counry or is it only gold arowana's?

Don't think its illegal to import aros it is in the U.S.A atleast with asian aros but in canada asian aros are perfectly legal lucky

Its risky but can be done it would be all up to the puffer most Mbus aren't to aggressive but its kinda risky plus asian aros can be pretty pricey

Some Mbus are nice and others are not. They tend to be less aggressive than the smaller fw puffers, but I wouldn't chance it. Aros can be really expensive. Besides, it would require a huge tank (like in the 400 gallon range)

Yeah, they have. But puffers are unpredictable.

Like everybody else stated, it all depends on the fishes personality. Its been done before, BUT its really risky and you must keep an eye on the tank constantly. Even thou you find a combo that works the fish could snap at any moment. Hardest thing to do will be to find one that is fish friendly and at a size thats comparable. Heres a combo I did awhile back!

wow! that is very amazing. The fahaka usually kills everything in its tank, but with a stingray! Great tank. Did it eat the stingray?
