Arowana as your first fish?

Nah it can't be the op's first fish because he mentioned having two large silver arowana together at some point in the past. As far as jardini go I have never kept them so I could be wrong but I believe jardini's are very hard to find tankmates for. So it could work but it might not, really depends on the individual fish and their personalities

no not my first lol!!! got two silvers at 3inch and grew them to 14inch decided its time for an upgrade..... had loads of fish mainly catfish etc but love the arowanas!!!

Jardini aro is the most aggressive aro out of all aro. They will attack all tankmates. The chance of having a comm tank with just 2 Jar is very slim. If you want an aro comm. tank, it is suggested that you keep 4+ aros. GL.

Oh, sorry i didn't catch that part LOL. But as far as keeping 2 jars together, i would try it only if you get them 2 at a young age and have a large enough tank

jardini arowana are indeed very aggressive. i grew mines from 3inches and it was originally in a community tank i guess you could say. tinfoil barb, redtail shark, pleco, clown knife...

i ended up separating all of them.

arowanas are usually best kept in 6+ for multiple fish of the same kind...although ive seen 3 or so arowanas with other monsters. theyve seemed to be pretty happy that way too.

main thing is to ensure all fish are fed enough. and of course to have ample space for each fish.
