Do they do this when they're young? Or just random? Yea I leave about 4inches of space. I even thought of upgrading to a 5ft tank to give it more space.

Hi, currently at 4ft. But my blood red arowana is only around 5inches. so its like a grow out tank for him now. i will upgrade it to a 7ft in a few months time!

I personally wouldn't risk it because 1 the Arowana could be harassed by the Jaguar Cichlids or 2 the Arowana will outgrow the Jaguar and eat them and believe me I thought Columbian Tetras were safe boy was I in for a surprise it caught all 3.
