Arowanas and Rays

Hi guys I'm new to the Forum my name is Will. I have a colony if Moba Frontosa in a 180g tank and a mix Haps and Peacocks in a 125g. I have a 200g that I want to put an Arowana and couple of Rays in this tank. Do you guys think this will work?
I want Sa Arowana Black or Silver. Whats the Ph on these guys and also our their any mail order sites that carry both Rays and Arowanas.

Yeah it should work, There this bussiness in the buy and sell forum named xoticaquatix they carry some nice show quality stingrays. And the prices are good. Just ask Bluedempsey. :thumbsup:

They need abt a lower pH of abt 6.7- 7.0...

U can check out our MFK sellers... There are a good selection to choose from from them. :grinyes:
 
whatever you do, keep the water conditions constant. Dont mess around with buffers ect., because your water parameters will be like a roller coaster. just add chlorine drops to the tank. also arowanas should only have a 20% water change once a week. Also the black is a little more delecate than the silver especially when young. depending on your tank width you can do a ray from 12 inches up to 24 inches. keep the temp at 84 to 86 degrees, and get a good filter.
 
We keep our rays are at a pH of 7.8, no problems.

Consistantcy and water quality are paramounts, matching ideal conditions in the wild is a waste of time, money and effort.

Have a few nice rays left, if interested :)
