Here is a few more questions, while were on the subject. 1) I heard that it was the male that kept the young in its mouth when they were little? If this is true, is it also the male that keeps the eggs in his mouth? Whats the female doing while all this is going on? Her nails? just kidding. 2) if one of the arows is incubating the eggs in his or her mouth, how long after the eggs are laid does it take to hatch? does this arowana eat during this period? If so, does he/she reliese the eggs to eat and pick them back up when finished? 3)How long after the fry are born does the responsible tank owner wait before sepperating the fry from the two adults?

they brood the eggs in their mouth and its the male aro job to do so but sometimes females are known to do so. they don't produce the eggs from their month.....

the eggs are kept in the mouth for about 2~3 weeks before harvesting and the male aro don't feed during that time. the female just swims around. ;)
