Hi
I have 2 black/blue arows about 22'' i bought them recently through a MFK member here. They're in a 150 gal tank. I'm concern about them because they haven't been eating since i brought them home (6 days ago)... Is there anything i can do to stimulate their appetite? I tried hikari floating sticks and frozen krills, but they ignored it completely. I will have a rena filstar xP3 install in the tank tomorrow. The water temp is about right at 82 degree... Does any know what's causing them not to eat....

Thanks...

their prob just getting use to the new tank, hows the lighting in ur tank?give em some time and their start eating away

theyre probably still getting used to the new tank. they'll come around, just be patient and be sure you have good filtration. BTW, that tank is WAY too small for two arowanas that size. i hope you dont plan on keeping them in there for long

Wait...your installing a filter tomorrow? Do you have any filtration already? Is this a new tank?

Are these from a woman named Judy? Did you see them eat previously or know when the last time they ate?

yes, these arows are from judy...she hadn't fed them for 3 or 4 days prior to before i came and pick them up...its a total of 10 days or so i believe... yes i do have a filter install but, its just not good enough for the tank... the tank fits them pretty well for now.

I would also try feeding something other than food sticks and krill. Try frozen foods. All my fish like frozen food over freeze dried food. Do you have any air pumps to deliver more O2 to the tank? I would let them chill without lights and disturbance for a while. Im sure they wont starve to death.
