It is official I'm putting in a new Aquarium room at the new house. It is going to about 16 foot long and have not decided how wide yet. I have been planning on buying a new 450 gallon tank except now with an actual room for aquariums I'm considering new tanks between 450 and 650 gallons.

The tanks are either going to be highlighted by a pair of Black Arowanas or if I can find one for sale here in California a Snow (silver) Arowana. In one of the other tanks I'm going to put an African Tiger Fish to replace the one that died during the move off of the ranch this last fall.

Have any of you on the forums seen Snow Arowanas for sale in California. I'm going to check with a couple of wholesalers.:grinno::grinno::grinno:

well why not have both? a pair of blacks and a snow?! that would be AMAZING :P
I'm guessing the tank will be enuf? pls dont flame me for this lol
the snow aro is definitely going to cost u a mint tho!
good luck with everything! :)

A definite aspiration, still for California they are the only thing legal that compares to a Asian Arowanas.

I have been considering two Blacks and a Snow Arowana which would be totally over the top. I have got to find a Snow Arowana first though.

My old aquarium room was a two door garage that I converted into an aquarium room. I ended up with a wall of 20 gallons, 35 gallon, 60 gallon, 75 gallon 360 gallon and had a large enough area that I could have had enough room to put a second monster tank between 8-10 foot long. That's as far as I got though. Once I know what the total area I'm working with I'm probably going to arrange things similar. A couple monster tanks and with some smaller specimen tanks like a South American Leaf Fish tank or Freshwater Angler fish tank.

How about a simple deco tank with school of silver aros and peacock bass?;)

I could except its something I have already done. I had two Silvers and three peacock bass for about three years. I have got one 18-20 inch Black Arowana and going to arrange most everything in the tank he is in around him. When I upgrade from a 360 to 450 or above then I'm going to start looking for other Tank mates unless I find a Snow Arowana before then of course.

Koji

Ideally I have got my fingers crossed that I could one day house a tank with some of your Diablo Reds and another tank with some of your Absolute Golds.

Thanks. But so far my only available piece of platinum is an asia green aro.

Does not have to be platinum. I'm good with normal Diablo Reds or Absolute Golds.
