Does anyone know how old Arowanas are before they lay eggs?

From everything I've heard they can start as early as 3 years, but those are unsubstantiated reports.

arowanas are mouth broaders so I dont think they "lay" eggs.

Aros are mouth brooders. It means they incubate the eggs in their mouth. They have to lay the eggs first before they can get them into their mouth.
