Arowanas with Discus

Im thinking about getting a silver arowana for my tank but i also want some discus just as bad so im wondering if it is safe to keep arowanas with discus.Thanks

your be fine. just make sure you silver is tame and friendly and the discus is wide enough for it not to suck them into his mouth.

It could go both ways. My silver would pick on my gar, ck and fight my would fish. But I feel like if you had a good amount of discus and grew the aro up with them, by the time he got some size on him he wouldn't see them as competition. My be a black aro wouldn't be as aggressive?
