Arowanas

I have a silver arowana, and i've a lot of people talking about aros having microchips in them.

Are they in all kinds of aros?

What is it for?

would my silver aro have one?

How do you tell?

I thought just the imported Asian Arowana were chipped.

Only asian arowanas are chipped. The chips are for keeping track of where the arowanas are and if they were bred on farms. Silver arowanas, blue/black arowanas, jardinis and leis don't get chipped.
