Every1 keeps telling me that for their lifespan you will need at least a 300 that is 36" wide or more!?

Ive known people with silvers that have only reached 20" and ive seen some in home aquaria over 3ft.Best bet is always err on the side of larger and although they have a flexible body they need at least 30" deep to turn.Id say 8x3x2 would be very minimum.

The bigger the better when it comes to tanks. You could start with a 180 until he got bigger, but the jump in price between the 180 and a 300 it would be cheaper, and easier on your aro to wait a few months and go for the bigger tank.

definately go with a bigger tank.

if you have anot already bought it go with a bigger tank...

And quite right you are !

I have a silver aro and he's in a 180 gal now but when he hits the 28" mark i'll be having to re-house him as it will be to small for him !

180gal's fine for a while !

i wont buy him till i know i can house it properly so one day i will be able to get one it not fair on the fish if i get the 180 and when he is to big cant afford to upgrade to atleast a 300 just another dream fish hey dixon how big do the blacks get???
