:nilly:IM soo confused i want one but the tanks sizes are crazy and im a teenager so i dont have uber amounts of money but my bday coming up and im hopefully getting a huge tank? 100+ no bigger then 180 any ideas

Silver and Black Arowanas are waay out of the question. anything under 280gallon is cruel for them.

Asians/australian/african Arowana maybe 180 is OK, but pushing it.

Asians are out of the question, the OP lives in the states, so they are illegal. As said before any South American will need much more then and quickly outgrow a 180g tank. If you can get at least a 180g tank, then a jardini is a possibility, but anything smaller I would not recommend.

It all depends on if you want a single fish as far as jardini are concerned. They can get quite aggressive and are known to destroy any tank mates. Not all jars are intolerant of tankmates but the majority grow up to be psycho. I have a monster jar in a 180g with tankmates(tolerates some others not at all):naughty:--Just lucky I guess.
I don't want to discourage you from a jar but when thinking of purchasing one--keep the psycho factor in mind. Many end up solitary fish.

Hope this helps,
Chris

Well maybe jardini are kool and all but i may go with bichirs now i love aros though

my experience is bichers are so much easier to care for and a 125 can handle the smaller breeds if you purchase a juvenile you have time to upgrade to a bigger tank
