Hi,
I was wondering if it would be possile to keep a silver arow with some angels in a planted 120g? they would grow up together and feed together. I already have my 4" baby silver arow and just one large angel with him in a 60g ATM. I will have a fluval FX5 as off next week running on the tank, and there will be plenty of plants for my angels to hide. Thanks;)

Depends on the fish. With an aro that small, you may have problems with the angel attacking them, you may not. In a tank that small the aro won't have too much room to run away in. Angels can be very aggressive, and I would not recommend ever having more than one in the tank. Once the aro hits around 10" there should be no problems with angels and aro mixes.

Don't do it. There is no 'growing together' when one species can reach over 40" and the other tops out at 5". Sooner or later, the angels will become aro food.

oddball is right! That angels days are numbered. Sure it might take as long as a year (I don't think so, but it could), but that angel is history. It doesn't make the arowana a mean fish, it just means he's doing what fish do. Eat whatever goes in the mouth. And guess what? Eventually, that angel fish will fit nicely

Not meant to be controversial but I have kept wild scalares with Asian aros for quite a few years without incident. In fact my current batch of scalares share their fiber glass tank with 5 adult xbacks all over 20". Though I must agree that in general caution has to be exercised when trying to "comm" aros with anything smaller then it.

my old arow, who just passed away two days ago, was 12" and was living with 3 3-4" oscars. And i thought as the angels are tall that they might have a chance, but if they wont i neeed new plans, What do you all suggest?
