Arows fins

I recently moved my small silver arow into my big tank and one of my alligator gars bit a huge chunk out of his tail fin. I think he thought it was food. Anyway the chunk of the tail is bitten off pretty much all the way down. Will it grow back if there's no fin showing ? Thanks

Did you remove the aro, if so it will grow back as long as there is hopefully a little of his tail fin left. With good water parameters, and wc's tail fin should grow back.

Yea I put him back in the 75 the gar really got a good chunk out of him. I don't see any blood and it doesn't really seem to be bothering him he just ate and is swimming around like nothing happened I don't see any fin but I'm hoping there's enough for it to grow back
