My new trophs are arriving soon!! AWESOME!! Is there anything I should do to get my tank ready before or anything I can do after to make it a great transition into my tank? I will take all suggestions!!

THanks in advance!!:)

Slow drip them and maybe turn off the lights.

Acclimation is the key, then it goes to spreading the aggression.

dude maybe im a dummy but i always make sure i have a good p.h and free of nitrates etc.float the bag then after about 15 minutes stick some tank water in the bag.and in the next 15 minutes i just drop fish in with water and all.thats if the lfs is good.if not go to step 2 then net the fish out.

If the fish are travelling for a long time I'd suggest to do the "welcome tank" method.

33gal tank preferably, powerhead (with an air source preferably) or two airstones. Once the fish are in fill the 33 gal half way with the water in the bags, if not half way than as much as it goes (use the water in the bags without dead fish) and start the powerhead and the air source. Add a capful of Prime as it helps neutralize the ammonia and helps rebuild the protective slime on the fish's bodies. Next step, get an airtube from their destination tank to the "welcome" tank going (also called the slow drip method, works with fish, invertebrates, rays ...you name it), and when the 33gal is filled up the fish are ready to go into their new home.

Water circulation and air, lots of, are very important, and I've lost few or no fish doing this method, even if sometimes they came in with a couple fins in the grave so to speak.

Good luck.

It's simple like that when you bring the fish from the store and just drive home, but when the fish are travelling for 24+ hours, if you do that you can just say bye-bye and start dissecting dead bodies.
