How do arrowana's breed? I know it doesnt happen in captivity in the home and i'm not going to try.. i'm just curious.. anyone got any good links?

well the female drops the eggs,
the male sprays sperm on them
then the father, scoops them in his mouth
u know that onls chestnut

i have a video of 2 rtg asian aros in a tank laying eggs, and the father spraying sperm and picking them up

when i can get that computer fixed ill e-mail it to neo

my old computer don go online

im working on it ( im a nub at computers tho)

Wow, how big is the tank that the rtgs were in? Must be a sight to see....aro's are majestic.

Breeding aros have been done in tanks and ponds. Commercially they are done
in mud ponds as it somehow more conducive to their growth and they willingness to spawn. However concrete breeding in ponds (commercially ) has been done as of late.

Private collectors have long spawned aros in concrete ponds. I dont know what the exact specs are to make them do it though. A little Barry White music maybe ? :)
