:grinno: I REALLY LIKE THE ARROWANAS AND HAVE DONE SOME RESEARCH ON THEM BUT IM REALLY CURIOUS OF WHAT SOME OF YOU FOLKS ARE USING FOR THEIR DIET???

Well, mine is "fasting" right now, but he likes crickets, frozen krill, and the Hikari carnivore pellets. He also will eat crayfish, frozen beefheart, frozen squid, and of course live feeders.

Wasn't there just recently a large article by a Singapore member about the pros and cons of each food that arowanas will eat?

I feed my arowanas hai feng pellets the one with the red arowana on it. and smelt which I get forom the grocery store. also mealworms and crickets are a good diet. I feed my aro an occasional frog here and there too.

Frogs are great, they really are good for my two blacks colors. Right now I feed crickets, krill, crab meat, mealworms, wax worms, butter worms, beefheart, and the occasional feeder. I feel that lots of variety is important.

A 5' X 2.5' X 2.5' would make a decent tank for a silver aro as it could grow well beyond 24". :)

I feed my arowanas frozen prawn and sometimes gold fish feeders.
