I have a pair of oscars with my 12 inch silver(first arrowana ever since August) and was wondering if they'll be okay together. We've gotten the oscars when they were really small and now they're huge. That was only....about four months ago and they have gone from 3-4(?) inches long to six inch monsters. No real fight had broken out, but occasional the silver would get spooked around feeding time when they get all excite and stuff. Should we separate them or will it be okay?

i keep a 14" silver with 2 6" oscars. I think they were made for each other. Most oscars aren't aggressive. They care more about eating than territory and fighting. Arowanas seem only to care about swimming around

I've tried Oscars with Silvers several times and they always seemed to keep my Aro spooked. They wouldn't hurt him, just charge at him with mouth open so he would slam into the roof or walls and hurt himself.

I've seen it done and if raised together you might have better luck.

I've had a 12" and 15" oscar with a big silver, and currently the 15" one still lives and does great with him (the 12" one died)

Going from 3-4" to 6" in 4 months is a slow growth rate. So long as they cant eat one another, oscars and silver arowana's go together like cops and donuts.
