ok let's get this straight...I've heard so many different answers for this question im just going to ask the experts...whats the smallest tank you can put a silver arrowana in (gallon amount & dimensions)..thanks.

I believe the answer you'll get around here is 180 Gallon 6x2x2. Of course this is for a full sized specimen. A 75 or 90 is good for a growout tank.
 
180 is really pushing it, but it can be done because they are so flexible. For the fish to be really comfy get a tank thats atleast 3 feet wide. Dimensions are more important than actual volume, though they do go hand in hand.
 
You could do it in a 180g. It is possible.

But really not advisable as they can freak out when in cramed spaces and basicly it is just not ideal for the fish.
