My fls has a 3' Aro (silver) available. His barbles ( not sure of the name) on his lower jaw are damaged, I guess from hitting the tank sides. Just bumps left. Do they grow back? He has 2 Aros more with no damage. The damaged one is the biggest. He wants $250 each or $700 for the three.

Yeah you gotta have a huge tank! how do their eyes look? I assume they probably have drop eye pretty bad at that size...

I have a 3' x 6' x 24" tank. They have been raised in a 6' x 2' x 2' I guess about a 180 gal tank. I don't know what droop eye is. Their eyes look ok though, but I'll look at them.

drop eye is common on silver arowanas. the eye literally "drops" and it appears as the fish is always looking down. usually the older they get, the the more slanted and dropped their eyes get.

i hope you dont plan on putting all 3 of those guys in your tank!!

Probably go with 1 or 2 best ones. I have a 26" shovel nose and a 12" to 14" Leiarius marmoratus that I got last night. They stay on the bottom and I'd like an aro to swim at the top. The Leiarus was $80. I didnt think that was bad. Keep the suggestions coming.
Thanks, cigar larry

aros? i'd say theyre pricey coz int he phils 10" usually costs 600+ pesos which is roughly 12 dollars or sumthin... though add the shipping and al the trouble.. maybe thats why its pricey here

I would just stick with 1 or MAYBE 2.. 3 would be pushing it..
