Arwona getting scared

I am having 3inches silver Arwona before when i having blue background my arwona will get scared for small things also but now i changed background to black its now ok .Does background of aquarium does make changes in behaviour...?

Being darker,the background could somehow comfort the arowana as it settles in.Lots of very young fish may need aome time before they settle down.

I'm not sure about background colour but one time I wore a black shirt with white polka dots and it spooked my arowana..

Your Aro is a baby this is instinctive behavior also will take time getting comfortable with you approaching the aquarium.

Also like to add if haven't done so would add floating plants to make little Aro feel more secure.

Did you also put the background on the sides of the tank? That may also help.
