This is an upgrade that has been in the works for a while and I finally got it up and running yesterday. I used to be a reefkeeper for 4 years but due to the downsizing from SFH to a small apartment a couple of months ago, I'm going to be pushing the limits upgrading from the current 20g to a now 75g.

Equipment
------------

- 75g Oceanic, with corner glass overflow, cherry wood stand
- Tidepool filter, Mag-7 return
- Eheim 2026 canister filter
- Regular Fluoscent Lights 2x40w (need upgrade)

Fish:
----------------
- Gouramis, cats
I would like to allow the plants I have to grow out into larger colonies rather than having a greater diversity in my tank. I particularly like the look of the colorful plants.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Pictures to be added.

Thanks for looking...

Do you plan to dose CO2? If not, you could always stick with low light plants such as crypts. What species are these gouramis and catfishes?

What are you planing to upgrade your lights to?

This is a picture I took on Nov.30, Day one.

My 75 gal planted tank on Dec. 7, one week old.
Got all the plants from a friend.
Yeah, I know I need to redo the aquascape...

The light is upgraded to a 2x96w Power Compact. Still looking for a 4x65w which is 48" long.

I'll DIY a CO2 system using yeast and sugar this week. I still need to find out what species the gouramis and catfished are.

I have now in my tank 5 gouramis (2 are kissing gouramis I'm sure), 5 glass color tetras?, 4 catfishes (3 black and big), 1 black molly, 1 pleco, few guppies from my old 20 gal and 5 small quick-moving fish I don't know the name, will need you guys help me with the ID.

Thanks.

aquascape is fine if that gravel wasnt there but each to his own.

That is quite a load of plants you got from your friend.

With that kind of gravel, there is not really any nutrients for the plants. You will need some fertilizer soon.

Please post pics of your catfish and pleco. Some are too big they will uproot your plants so you have to get rid of them if necessary. Your tetras look like the white version of the black skirt tetra. Pics on this one are needed as well.
