As Promised: More Anaconda Pictures

Unfortunately only one snake was in the mood to be photographed today : Kathleen.

She is the largest snake at the aquarium at about 18' and 200+lbs. This also makes her the longest animal at the aquarium period.

You are actually right. The anaconda exhibit is being renovated and as part of that renovation the two huge bio towers that were part of the filtration system were taken down. To help keep the bacteria population from crashing the media was put in mesh bags and is floating in the holding tank with the snakes.

She's an absolute beast!!!!!
