I will now introduce myself. Of course my name is Pauline and I have inherited my goldfish pond by a guy that rented the cottage behind my house. We live in Northeast MS. I joined this group in a panic because I found the pond leaking and had no idea how to stop it without taking it all apart. It is above ground with a vinyl liner. I am proud to say that the problem is now resolved with the leak without having to remove fish. I waited to see how far down the water would go and my husband, being engineering minded pulled the vinyl up and found a small tear. He patched it from the backside using vinyl and aquarium sealant. Whewwww that was a close one. Thanks to all that helped with the problem. I am going to post pics but everyone has to PROMISE (yeah right) no negative feed back because remember I just now inherited this and haven't had a chance to glamorize it. It's really not in the best location for me to enjoy because it is beside the cottage a little far from the house. But as I get comfortable with it we may move it. We filled in an inground pool and I think I would enjoy it more there and make it the focal point to start my garden beds around. Not sure. I look forward to any positive ideas anyone has. I have joined forums (gardening and aquarium) before and because I wasn't doing something exactly the way others would it seemed to offend them, so I left. Hope everyone understands and I look forward to meeting everyone here.

Thanks again for the help,
Pauline:)

I like it! I want to do a pond outdoors, but first I am unsure where to put it on our land, second I have 2 outside dogs that might jump in and who knows what they would do with the fish, and third I would have no idea as to how to get one started. But I love the looks of yours! Very nice!

Thanks turtle girl. By the way, the light weight mesh cover is there because we found a LARGE blue heron standing in the middle of it licking his chops and belching! My wild racoons have tried to get in but they can't figure it out and have only tore a little hole in the mesh, probably just to wash their paws. They are sooo cute!

WELCOME!

Nice pond....
