saw an RTG arowana for sale and it is asking for at least 8,000 and Buy it Now is 15,000 dollars. Wow! isn't that too expensive? i know it's "rare" to find it. but at that price i would skip and just get something else. what do you guys think? would you pay that much?

And the odds are that if you bought it, it wouldn't be sent anyway. Alot of these "sales" are scams because the seller knows you can't go to the authorities to complain about not receiving an illegal species.

well, that's how people rip off some person's money. just wondering why is it still illegal! anyhow... just sharring this sale that is totally crazy! i'll just get a jardini and get it tatoo on. green and red.

NO way, you can't deal with shady people like that, That is a total rip-off at least to me , I have had a chance at an asian aro and it was no were near that price! But I feel if some one asks for a high price and someone else is willing to pay , than thats just business!

That price is way too high. I recently had the opportunity to purchase a chili red aro for $2600. So $8000+ is way too steep for an RTG. However, seeing as they are illegal here in the states, you really aren't in a great position to haggle over price.

I know the RTG's are very very beautiful. I also know they are much coveted. I will also admit that it would be cool to own one (if it were legal). But I wouldn't pay $1000 dollars for one. And that would be a rather cheap price. There are two reasons. Number one, too risky to get your fish alive and also too expensive. Number two, for $30 you can get a very nice silver in town. Yea I know, everyones got one of those! So what. They are Legal, and still the most awsome fish in the world. Just my opinion. OSPY
