Asian Aros in the US.

how long do all of you think it will take asian aros to become legalized in the US? 5 years? 10 years? 20 years? Never?

I hope soon. These are gorgeous fish to keep. And a joy to watch! Is there anyway aro lovers in the US can get together to petition the relevant US govt agencies?
 
we could petition but it'll amount to absolutely nothing as long as they're still endangered in the wild
 
from the sounds of it whilst asian aros are still endangered in the wild you will never be able to buy them legally in the US.
so until something is done about the wild populations there illegal.
its a damn shame.

I think this is ridiculous. It's such a double standard. People can own tigers, which are incredibly endangered, but not these fish which are being bred in great numbers in captivity. :screwy:
 
Yep, but making comparisons just gets more things banned.
 
So true. There are more captive tigers in Texas than in the wild....and most of them are private owned. You'd think with the correct permitting, Asian aros would be approved.
