asian arowana 150$ ????help please

hey i went to my local fish store and all there prices were crazy they had a full grown jaguar chiclid for 10$ 2 frontosa for 5$ and senagal birchir for 10$ but wat really caught my eye was the illegally imported asian arowana for 150$ and i was thinking i dont want to say anything since im there favorite costumer and get great discounts but i dont want anyone telling on them and them getting in trouble since its my favorite pet store by far they always have big fish and rare ecotic ones and will trade almost anything for a full grown oscar idk why the owner likes them i guess please help im confused can i buy it then figure it out from there

What differences are there between an asian and a jardini(legal in Cali) that you know?

ALL aro's EXCEPT asians are legal in cali. for $150 i can guarantee you it was not an asain.
