Hello everyone,

I am new here and wanted to pick up my first Asian aro. The current two that I am considering purchasing are the rtg or red.

Are they pretty aggressive when compared to SA silver and blks? I know a lot depends on the fish, but I want to know in general.

Thank you!

Welcome to MFK!

What do you want to keep an Asian Aro with?

In my opinion they are moderately aggressive, but it depends on what you keep them with.

Yikes! Really? I have been searching online and could barely find any information on Asian Aro aggression. I know the Jardini's are really aggressive.

IMHO - Depends on the individual fish often. Do a google image search and you will see them with many various combos....

The key is finding a nice workable balance.

I've seen a lot of people keep asians with other fish, like Chaitika for example.
I keep an RTG with a black arowana in the same tank but they i've grown up together :) and yes the RTG does act aggressive towards the black at times but they seem to be getting along fine :)

Thanks Knowdafish!

I want to keep them with some SA eartheaters, stingrays and datnoids,

That is a workable combination.............maybe.

What size tank?
