That was my thought exactly... killing off a few square KM worth of fish just to catch / kill 1 single Asian Carp seems ridiculous...

they did something similar in Maryland or Viriginia to get snakeheads . . . the cold logic is that it is more important to kill the invasives, and then it is relatively simple to re-stock the natives that were killed off . . .
