Asian Feeding Habbits

Hi I have had my Asian just under a year and around 12-15" now. Over the last few months in noticed he will pick at the food & not really eat all that is offered. He used to eat more. Do they slow down eating some times during the year. He mostly eats Miro meal worms & some time cut up shrimp.

Just ask other keepers advice if this is normal.

I find that the Asian aro appetite fluctuates as the fish grows. Hunger strikes are not uncommon. Just keep your water parameters good and your fish should be fine.

I have met aro keepers that frequently starve their aros, but they keep growing.

Not quite sure. They could probably go a couple of weeks, but I would not like to do that.

So they haven't properly eaten for couple of weeks now maybe eaten 1 or 2 earthworms.

I have given them some deworming meds just incase any of the worms or miro worms had something.

He swimming fine and all fins are not clamped or anything.

The tank he is in for grow out is 5ft bow front he is around 12-14 inch.
