I need some info on those, im planning on getting one.
Max size, aggression and other things.

which species:
Asian knifefishes
Chitala blanci - royal knife (Asia)24''
Chitala Chitala – clown knife/featherback/thousand dollar knife (Asia)24"
Chitala Lopis - Giant Featherback (Asia)
Notopterus Notopterus – Asian knife/Asiatic knife/Bronze featherback (Asia) 12"
Papyrocranus congoensis - (Asia)

N. Notopterus averages 12" in aquariums. They are the most belligerent of the Asian Species. I think they would be fine in a 29g, personally, but 50g would be best.

id go with a 55 or more for them

asian knife fishes are quite easy to keep because they can tolerate bad water conditions but they are aggressive to smaller tankmates. mine killed its tankmate, a red pacu. but it got along well with my bichir.

I've never seen any asian knife fish around here, is it rare? I've seen ck's and royals...

Well...considering Bikini Bottom is in the sea, you wouldn't see a N. Notopterus because they live in freshwater :D

Funny guy :D Oh stop flirting with me

So are they rare? Any vendors on MFK selling them?

currently lmfao @ bikini bottom comment, will brb to post comment.

like benzjamin said you could get away with a 29, (knife fish dont always swim the long way like pike, gar, oscars) so a 12" knifefish can fit where an 8 inch other fish would be snug. but a 55+ would be optimal
