I was wondering...about 8-10 months ago I bought an asian red-tailed cat (Hemibagrus wyckioides). I've been doing a little more research on him lately and every account says things like "most aggressive freshwater fish in the world" and "Cannot be kept with tankmates" Hmmmm.....
Mine is about 6" at this point and he is kept in a 125 with a juv. jardini (8"), and a big dempsey (10"). He has dug a cave under a piece of driftwood and is definetly grumpy about anyone bothering him when he is hiding, but other than that he has been pretty benign, no real signs of aggression, no mysterious bites on tankmates....
So is he going to suddenly hit "maturity" and decimate the tank? Between him and the Jar I think I'm setting up a real powder keg of a tank
