Iv had mine for Lil over a year now, got him at 4" now hes at least 12" I have him in a 180 (only been in there for 4 months now) with 2 black sharks (one is around 12" other is around 8") 2 tiger Oscars (about 12" and 8" also) 4 feather fin cats (3"-6"). The red tail has grown up with my large O and the large shark in a 55, and has other tank mates from time to time, only had one albino channel vanish, I dont think it was the artc but idk, iv never seen him eat or attempt to eat another fish, he loves his shrimp pellets lol some times comes out to get them, but will surly but a fish in check that needs it like my large O.

Not saying there a community fish, but they have been for more then a year now for me

Any one else here own one

i used to have one i miss him he was awesome got very aggressive and had to get rid of him and plus i switched to natives anyways so yeah lets see some pictures of him!

I had an albino asian redtail for a while but he got wicked aggressive the bigger he got and started beating up my other cats so I had to get rid of him. He was cool though and you have a nice fish there!

Ya he was impulse buy, never seen one b4 him and havent seen another since, did my research after I got him, wasnt woried about his aggressiveness at the time cuz he was the smallest fish I had so I just kept an eye on him now a year later and still no sign if a serial killer lol, hope it stays that way, I often find my Lil shark hanging out with him, iv read about a black shark sucking a artc to death b4, but I haven't seen any of that either lol, the biggest problem i've had with these fish being together is my big O is real mean to the Lil O, took half the scales on its side a few Weeks ago

I love these cats. One of my fav. I finally just got another one to grow out. They are very hard to find out here.
Unfortunately I lost my last one to a stupid mistake. Upgraded to a bigger tank and I forgot to put the lid on. Woke up in the morning and he jumped out. Wasn't expecting that

Got him at less than 2" and got him over 7" in less than 3 months.

More pics?
