Even with all the obstructions and hiding places n etc, the South American counterpart eventually killed the Asian one.
And they say the Asian RTC is the most agresssive catfish. Well true that because he was only 3 inches and the South American was 5 inches, but the Asian kept on attacking the South American so eventually, the SA got tired n decided to lay down the law. I found the Asian RTC in the morning bent in half and his head snapped upwards.
Asian RTC's are best kept alone. They will either kill any other fish in the tank, or the other fish will defend itself and kill the asian RTC.
