Are any of you MFK's keeping this species or have you kept it in the past?
If so, what are your comments.

I've been been keeping my eyes open to see a live one and may consider purchasing one, but I have yet to see them available in my area. Live Aquaria carries them but they are out of stock at the time.

Had one for 5 years. Super active, fairly mellow to tankmates, and an awesome eater. Would stay close to his overhang and not really bother anybody. Super cool fish that does everything upside down.
 
i have one which is about 7-8". super cool fish.moves upside down the whole day even while feeding. but they are aggressive towards each other.mine has an eye missing due to fighting with another one of its kind.
 
I have one had it for about 7 years now its about 9" it floats at the top of the tank during the day and swims at night but will chase any fish that gets to close to it and is pretty tame towrds people I like them a lot
 
They get up to a foot long but don't put goldfish or anything slower then them or he will eat them and they don't get along with placos I had a placo about the same size and they constantly fought but not to the point they were hurting eachother if you get one they need a at least a 100 gallon tank and they like flakes bloodworms and pellets and have a lid on the tank or if its near the top and you spook it you will get slpashed or if its going after another fish a lot of water will get on your floor
 
am going to the LFS in a couple of hours and was wondering if these could be mixed in with an Arowana?

these sell for about $10
