Asian vs sa rtc

There are a couple of things... the Looks are completly different ofcourse being the most obvious, the other being if the Catfish eats all of it's tank mates.. it's a South Americian and if it just kills them then it's an Asian LOL

Here's my ARTC kinda blurry and I need to take updated pics since he's now almost 18" and was only about 14" in this pic.
im kinda with basslover on this one. neither fish is much like the other except for the red tail.
But the ARTC is black with red tail (sometimes other times kind of grey) and white barbels as a juvi. As they get bigger the black fades into a sort of ugly blue(if you ask me)
The South American Red tail cat is fuller in body. Rather wide. With tan top and bottom with a white stripe down the middle.

and there is a stinger like thing
on the upper caudal fin
and they always hide unlike the SA RTC
