About 7 months ago I purchased a baby silver arowana and raised it pretty well. Then around April I had to give it up to one of my friends. But then during May I saw it and it was in bad shape so I took it back. It was malnourished and its pelvic fins had fallen off and it's anal, dorsal, and caudal fins looked as if they were eaten away of "dissolved" the dorsal fin was nearly gone and the caudal and anal fins damaged. Currently I've been nursing back to full health. I feed it Azoo arowana sticks and Nutrafin Max arowana sticks daily (10-12 sticks) I also feed it 8-12 live crickets every Saturday or Sunday. The dorsal fin has grown a bit but the main question... Are there methods to speeding up this fin growth process it's been 3 months and the dorsal, caudal, and anal fins have not grown back much. Some people say to up the temperature and to add lots of aquarium salt but I won't do anything until I confirm. My temperature is currently 80 is that too cold?

Also please do not freak out about the fact that it is currently housed with several angelfish it is only temporary. For some reason when it was alone in a 40 gal tank it refused to eat, hardly moved, was sluggish and was very skittish so without my knowledge my father moved it in with my 5 baby Angels in a 55 gal. It hasn't eaten any of them but when it was in there it began eating and swimming around a lot. So back to the main question as to methods of speeding up this recovery process or is there even a chance of recovery? I know the pelvic fins have a very slim chance of growing back but will the others grow back?

I tried posting a vid but it won't work on iPhone so I just posted some blurry photos if u need better quality stuff I can try uploading on my laptop later the video. Please tell me what I can do to help this fish.

The only thing you can do is keep the tank as clean as possible, low nitrates ad give it time. The fins may never be normal again but it can make a full recovery otherwise.

Yes and 80 is fine. Do you know what happened to the fins? Picked on by tankmate or just poor water quality? It's very small for its age. Feed him well and he'll quickly outgrow that 55
