ASM help

hey guys I got my ASM g3 all hooked up to the 90, i used to have a MRC and you had to do alot of fine tuning to it. I have never had a ASM before, do you need to do alot of tuning to get a large amount of sluge? or do you just pluge it in, like i did.

You just have to adjust the stand pipe to the level that you prefer best for dry or wet skimmate. There are several mods you can do to this skimmer. One of the most benefitial ones is to replace the needles in the impeller with mesh.

You don't have to do any if you don't wish to & still get goo results with that akimmer. Wish I could have fit a G-3 under my 90g tank. I've got a G-2.

thanks, kinda a stupid question, but where is the stand pipe? i got my skimmer so jamed in there i cant even see around the back.

It's the pipe the water flows out of. It adjusts up & down for bubble height in the chamber. I have to pull it up with pliers, cause it's so slippery.
