Asparagus & stinky pee

Ah the life's great little mysteries. did a google search on this strange topic, and it seems as though only certain people get a very pungent smell in their urine, while it doesnt affect others. usually happens right away too. did some google searching and it's not quite clear what causes this.

so, do you get stinky pee from eating asparagus? hope this thread isnt too "vulgar" for the nancy-pants on the forum. apparently we cant talk about farts cause the stiffs get offended

Well this should really get them all worked up.I don't think I've even ever eaten any asparagus but tuna sure causes a strong whiff when I wizz.

I drink a lot of double ipa's which definately have an effect on my urine. I bbq'd a pound of asparagus the other night, sea salt, pepper, olive oil and, soy sauce. Anyways, the pungency was akin to my backside coming out my frontside. Hope I wrote that as unoffensivley as possible?

I notice it for about 1/2 day after I eat asparagus, it is really stinky to me. My wife hardly notices it - I wonder if some people aren't as sensitive to the odor as others...

Yea when it goes really yellow and you get that strong smell of unirne. It doesnt last though, only for the time i am peeing then flush it goes away.

Happens when i am drinking rum.
