Assassin feeding project

So, I've been reading a lot about Assassin snails and decide to get a few of them and I really like them
Anyway I don't have that many snails(not sure if they are PS or MTS) for them to eat but would love to have more assassins running around my tank

So, I was wondering if I could set up a small space for the PS and MTS to breed and grow in peace till I add them to the larger tanks as food for my assassins?

I have an empty 1 gal thing that I have never been able to use for anything but a Betta(but he died some time ago)
1. So I was wondering if this would work?
2. If so what would I need for the tank... (heater, water movement, light)
3. What kind of food should I put into the tank to promote quick and healthy growth.
4. How fast do this snails grow? I know that assassins take quite a while to grow to their max size...

1G may be a bit small, but a 10g sterilite bin is only 2 or 3 bux. Slap a cheapo internal filter in there with a few snails & feed the heck out of it. You'll have a hundred PS in no time. You may need a heater, but not a big one. They breed fast, but grow kinda slow. Veggies, algae wafers & sinking pellets will work great.
