I have an infestation of rams horns, so I got some assassin snails. I have seen them coupling on occasion. This morning I woke up to this. The rams horn egg clusters I have seen in the past have been in what looks like, (excuse the crude language, but I don’t know how else to describe it) a wad of snot. Could these possibly be assassin eggs? If so, will the rams horns and pleco eat them? How can I protect them if necessary?

Assassin snail eggs are squarish so the pics are not of their eggs.

Darn. Hopefully I’ll have a batch soon. So what do you think these are? Rams horn? I also have Cory cats, but I would think that they would lay eggs in a more protected spot, and I doubt that they would stick to the glass.

Those are not rams horn snails (family Planorbidae) eggs either, as they are deposited in small masses, not as individual eggs. Also, they are just too large. I have not seen the eggs of Assasin snails (Anentome spp., including 'Clera helena'), but in snails of that family (Nassariidae) eggs are also deposited in masses.
So, if there is nothing else in the tank, it seems to me you may have cory eggs instead. Lucky you!

Those look more like cory eggs, if you have any cories?

I also have Cory cats, but I would think that they would lay eggs in a more protected spot, and I doubt that they would stick to the glass.
Oh, missed that. Nope, they lay them stuck randomly everywhere. And they do stick to the glass, it's kind of a requirement for stuck to everything.

Either snail. Looks like fish eggs whats your stocklist

There should be some videos online but the 2 methods I've seen are to either gently use a single edge razor blade to remove the eggs or if they are very fresh, you can use your finger to gently roll them off the glass and onto your finger. Transfer to perforated plastic cup to float in the main aquarium or a small container filled with aquarium water. I'm not positive if you need methylene blue to reduce egg fungus?

BTW, the eggs are very sticky!

So I got the eggs in a perforated cup standing in a non perforated Tupperware. I’m going to call my lfs to see what they say about getting one of those breeder boxes or whatever they’re called to attach to main tank. That way they get airflow, and still have the main tank water etc. I’m not in a position right now to set up a separate breeder tank, cycle it etc. wish me luck!
