In time, yes. My assassins decimated the snails in my tank. As they have bred, I am moving them into other tank to put them to work.

How long does breeding take?

The only produce one at a time and it takes a while before you'll even see the baby snails in the tank.

It does take a little time but not much. I put 10 in my planted tank to take care of the MTS problem I had, a year ago. Now I've got about 60 to 80 estimated , probably more.
Problem is they only kill 1 to 3 snails a day

I got a pair once.. They were always having sex. Now I got close to 80, with more in my filters......
