I have a 13" alligator gar and a 4" red tail catfish. Can i put a 8-10" fire eel in with them.

No, fire eel will WILL become a feeder for the RTC.

130 gal I heard the rtc only grows an inch per month is that accurate

depends how much you feed him. I would say quicker than that. They get big!! That tank is to small for life. gl

The 130 gal is just a temp tank until it grows about a foot or so

It's fairly common for a smaller RTC to devour a larger tankmate. They'll take prey head first and hold it until they can force it down by folding and crushing.

I'm on nails with my 5 inch rtc I try not to feed it a lot so it won't grow so fast but that doesn't stop him from growing.. Beautiful fish but they will eat everything and anything.. Good luck with yours.
