AST skin help needed

Hi guys, I have acquired a 4 inch AST recently, after having him in the tank for weeks I noticed some change or colouration on his skins today when I took him out to sun bath. There seems to some white patches or spots on his feet and head, these only show up when he is completely dry, is this a fugal infection or just normal skin shedding? Thanks

Welcome aboard
I suggest keeping water in pristine condition and see if effective areas improve. If it doesn't improve I recommend a veterinarian.

Thank you, the water condition is ok according to the test strip, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate all 0, PH is 7.2, I took some photo of him when he is wet, the white patches are all gone, I suspect it’s hard water stain since it only appears during sun bath, hopefully it’s nothing serious
