Picking up a trio tomorrow and trying to get as much info as possible on these guys. Seems to be a lot of different opinions on adult size. Some say 10-12" some say 6-7"....

and different opinions on water requirements. I would assume they prefer soft water.

Thanks in advance and please post pics of yours if you have them!

Based on the pics in post #6, I would think both sizes are accurate. Males probably get to around 10" and females are a few inches smaller.

This also seems to have some decent info on water qualities.

No problem. Glad they are going to a good home. And also glad I know where to come look for growout pics. :)

Well hopefully, I'll get some spawning action and you'll know where to find them. Now if I can just find a large female nourisatti lol

Such a cool fish. I currently have 9 that I got from Gage back towards the end of last summer. They were at an inch or under when I got them. Now most are are in the 2 inch range. Not overly fast growers but not painfully slow either.

These 3 were the last Gage had. Keeping them next to the ornatum and beani, so they might actually seem to grow fast lol. very underrated fish IMO.
